(DELHI, Ohio) - The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team defeated the Mt. St. Joseph Lions 12-4 on Wednesday night. Head coach Dan Moriarty records his first win at the helm of the Quakers.
Jacob Murray opened the scoring for the Lions as he scored the lone goal in the first quarter. After a slow start the Quakers offense roared to life in the second quarter. Senior Austin Young scored two of his five goals in the second quarter. Goals by Brock Fugate and Nick Roca gave the Quakers a 4-3 lead at the half.
Wilmington kept the pressure on in the second half as they outscored the Lions 8-1 in the half on their way to a convincing 12-4 victory.
