Volleyball Beaten at Baldwin Wallace

BEREA, Ohio - Baldwin Wallace University hit at least a .250 clip in each set and swept the Wilmington College volleyball team 25-10, 25-15, 25-17 in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) action from Ursprung Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.

The Yellow Jackets, who hit a .267 attack percentage for the match, and utilized a four-headed attack as Gabby Schlecht, Maleia Thurber, Sam Rueda and Isa Luciano all had at least seven kills. Schlecht led the way in kills with 13 while Thurber added 10 and a team-high .607 attack percentage. Setter Olivia Zawadzki dished out 38 assists while Lauren Gardner had a 20-dig performance.

Joy Bebe was the bright spot for the Quakers offensively as the junior had eight kills and hit a .462 clip for the match. Both Andie Dolven and Kyra Frasier dished out nine assists while libero Blake O'Brien, who leads all of NCAA Division III volleyball in digs per set, had 17 on the day.

Wilmington (8-13, 1-2 OAC) returns to Hermann Court to face Otterbein University on Wednesday. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.
