WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's track & field team places seventh at the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Indoor Championship. Traveling with a small squad, the Fightin' Quakers were able to rack up 24 points over the course of the meet.

Wilmington started off hot with multiple top three finishes by senior Kayli Sullivan. In weight throw, she placed second with a throw of 54' 6.5" and first in shot put with a heave of 43' 4.5", both marks placing her eighth overall in NCAA DIII rankings in each event. Sullivan received All-OAC recognition and racked up 18 total points for the team.

Another standout performance came from sophomore Milena Wahl where she broke the school record in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:36.98. In a record-setting race, she was able to place eighth and gain points for Wilmington.

The Quakers were able to score in two separate relays, starting with the distance medley relay consisting of Wahl, Sidney Fields, Kelsey Broering and Savannah Rhodes that placed sixth in a time of 13:57.91. To end the scoring for Wilmington was the 4-x-200-meter relay team made up of Madison Dietz, Fields, Lily Williford and Miranda Gibson that placed seventh in a time of 1:57.64. Dietz was one place shy of scoring in both the long jump and triple jump.

"I'm extremely proud of our women's team," commented Head Track & Field Coach Ron Combs. "It felt like every time we had an individual or relay competing, they were setting a season's best, a personal record or a school record. Kayli [Sullivan] was amazing today as she has been all year. She's really established herself as one of the best throwers, not only in the OAC, but the entire country."

Wilmington will look forward to the start of outdoor track season with an opening meet at Marietta College on the 20th of March.
