Men's Swimming Heads South for Double Dual at Transy on Saturday

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's swimming team heads south to Lexington, Kentucky, this weekend for a double dual meet with Wittenberg University and host Transylvania University on Saturday. Events are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

The Coaches: Trip Breen is in his 23rd season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's swimming teams. Breen has been named Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Men's Coach of the Year four times, the most recently in the 2016-17 season. Dave Doolin is in his fifth season as Transylvania's head coach while Samantha Williams, who spent two years as an assistant coach at WC, is in her first season as Wittenberg's head coach.

Who to Watch: Jacob Worley was the Fightin' Quakers' event winner in the 50-meter freestyle against Ohio Northern University last Saturday with a swim of 26.36 seconds. Michael Phillippe will look to build upon runner-up finishes in two backstroke events as well as a third in the 100-meter IM. Sophomore Cameron Bolen is also in search of an event victory having narrowly missed it in breaststroke events against the Polar Bears.
