Men's Swimming Closes Calendar Year at OWU Invitational

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's swimming team takes to the pool for the final time in the 2019 calendar year this weekend at the Ohio Wesleyan University Invitational.

The Invitational: Saturday will feature two sessions – a 10 a.m. morning session and a 5:30 p.m. evening session – followed by a 10 a.m. morning session on Sunday.

The Coach: Trip Breen is in his 20th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's swimming teams. Breen has been named Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Men's Coach of the Year four times, the most recently in the 2016-17 season.

Who to Watch: In freestyle events, Logan Schroer has Wilmington's top times in the 50-yard, 100-yard and 200-yard events with the first two coming against Baldwin Wallace University and the later in a double dual with Transylvania University and Wittenberg University. Isak Alin has been the Fightin' Quakers' top performer in backstroke, breaststroke and IM events while Aaron Polk's swam the quickest time in the 200-yard butterfly and the second-best mark in the 100-yard butterfly.

Hot Streak: Wilmington has won three consecutive dual meets including two double-duals.
