Men's Basketball Heads to Berea for Battle With Baldwin Wallace on Saturday

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's basketball team opens round two of the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) double round robin schedule at Baldwin Wallace University on Saturday. Tip-off from Ursprung Gymnasium is scheduled for 4 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Baldwin Wallace (BW). The Fightin' Quakers enter the contest with a 4-11 overall mark and having finished the first half of conference play with two victories and seven defeats. WC most recently fell 65-62 at Otterbein University on Wednesday evening. The Yellow Jackets are 10-4 overall

The Coaches: K.C. Hunt is in his 15th season as head coach of Wilmington's men's basketball program. Hunt, who has coached two All-Americans and seven of the school's 1,000-point scorers, led the Quakers to OAC Tournament titles in 2010 and 2014. He garnered Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year honors for guiding Wilmington to OAC Tournament title and a win in the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2010. Tom Heil is serving his sixth season as the Yellow Jackets' head coach. During Heil's tenure, he has compiled an 86-60 overall record and a 52-46 record in conference play. In 2018-19, Heil led the Yellow Jackets to an OAC Tournament Title and an NCAA tournament berth.

The Players: Jeffery Mansfield, a two-time First Team All-OAC selection, leads Wilmington in several statisticsal categories including points per game (15.8), rebounds per game (6.7) and assists per game (4.4). Collmann Aaron and Anthony Freeman both score over seven points per contest while Noah Dado grabs 6.3 boards per 40 minutes. A trio of Yellow Jackets - Anthony Mazzeo, Drew Wennes and Jake Snyder - score over 14 points per game with Mazzeo leading the bunch at 18.8 points per 40 minutes. Christian Pfeiffer leads BW in rebounding with 7.6 boards per contest.
