WILMINGTON, Ohio – The 2020 calendar year saw something that collegiate athletics has not experienced in a long time. Due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, Wilmington College, the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) and the NCAA as a whole shut down operations of intercollegiate athletics in March for the remainder of the 2019-20 academic year.
The Scots swept the series courtesy of a 12-9 victory in 10 innings in game two, which was suspended in the middle of the seventh via darkness on Saturday, and a 17-7 victory in seven innings in game three.
The Wilmington College baseball team dropped game one of a weekend series with Alma College, falling to the Scots 10-4 on Saturday afternoon. Game two was suspended due to darkness in the middle of the seventh inning. It will be finished tomorrow (Sunday).

A couple of big middle innings and a two-run home left lifted Elmhurst College to a 7-5 victory over the Wilmington College baseball team in a non-conference game on Sunday afternoon.
Originally scheduled for two games on Saturday, Feb. 29, the series has been postponed until Sunday, March 1 with game times are still slated for 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The Wilmington College baseball team concludes its opening weekend by dropping a close 2-1 decision to Blackburn College (Illinois) on Sunday afternoon.
Wilmington will face the University of Wisconsin-Stout at Norther Central College College at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. respectively on Saturday, Feb. 22.
