About The Joe Baab Culinary Fights Cancer Foundation:
OAC Personal Connection: The Joe Baab Culinary Fights Cancer Foundation was Co-Founded by Emily Fisher, former Mount Union Assistant Athletic Director and Head Women's Lacrosse Coach. Emily's brother, Joe Baab Co-founded the organization alongside Emily and battled colon cancer for 3 years, passing away in August of 2021. Their father, Tim Baab is the former Head Men's Basketball, Men's Golf, and Men's Soccer Coach at John Carroll University.
About CFC: The Joe Baab Culinary Fights Cancer Foundation provides free-of-charge cooking classes to cancer patients and family members. In partnership with top restaurants and chefs and in collaboration with our in-house nutritionist, chefs create menus to help meet cancer patient in-treatment and post-treatment needs without lacking flavor while aiming to incorporate ingredients based on the American Institute of Cancer Research's recommendations. Classes are held at the respective chef's restaurant in a fun and inviting atmosphere for a night-out experience. In donating, you are helping to 1) Educate, 2) Connect, and 3) Empower cancer patients and families. Website: culinaryfightscancer.com
The presentation including updated guidelines is attached here. Please feel free to share this with your team as a step-by-step guide for #OAC4CFC and why to participate.
