MASON, OH – Senior Tricia Steffen just missed earning all-region recognition, finishing 39th at the 2014 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Great Lakes Regionals Saturday at the Golf Center at Kings Island.

Wilmington didn't have enough runners to compete for the team rankings.

"I thought the four women who ran today did a good job," said Wilmington head coach Ron Combs. "It's unfortunate that injuries caught up with us and we couldn't run a full team. All four girls that ran today had personal bests. Tricia just missed All-Region, but she ran her guts out. She has improved a ton in her four years at WC."

Steffen (Baltimore, OH/Liberty Union) completed the 6K course in a time of 22:46.9. Freshman Kylie Watson (Georgetown, OH/Georgetown) was the next Wilmington runner across the mats, placing 119th in the time of 24:12.5.

Senior Veronica Burnam (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond) finished with the time of 24:41, while sophomore Stephanie Fetters (West Milton, OH/Milton-Union) completed the course in the time of 26:21.9.
