Volleyball falls in straight sets to BW

BEREA – The Wilmington College volleyball team fell to Baldwin Wallace in straight sets (25-20, 25-23, 25-21) Saturday in Ohio Athletic Conference at Ursprung Gymnasium.

The Fightin' Quakers increased it hitting percentage as the game progressed, improving from .130 to .140 to .146.

Senior Ashley Miller (Arcanum, OH/Frankin Monroe) led the team with 12 kills on 34 attempts and just three errors. Junior Tabby Biegler (Columbus, OH/Briggs) added nine kills on 34 attempts with five errors for WC. She added 16 digs in the loss.

Junior Ariana Neff (Naples, FL/Gulf Coast) dished out 30 of the team's 35 assists with 10 digs. Junior Emily Oberschlake (West College Corner, IN/Union County) finished with a team-high 18 digs, while freshman Kaleigh Trevino (Vandalia, OH/Butler) recorded 10 digs.

Wilmington (2-22 overall, 0-5 OAC) hosts Otterbein 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in OAC action.
