Biegler turns in season-best performance

BATAVIA – The Wilmington College volleyball team stepped away from Ohio Athletic Conference action, and fell to UC-Clermont Wednesday at the Student Activity Center.

Junior Tabby Biegler (Columbus, OH/Briggs) turned in her best hitting performance of the season with a percentage of .478. She finished with 13 kills on 23 attempts and just two errors. Biegler added a team-high 12 digs for the Fightin' Quakers.

Senior McKenzie Kilburn (Huber Heights, OH/Wayne) was effective at the net with a career-high five solo blocks. Kilburn finished four kills on 13 attempts and just one error. Senior Ashley Miller (Arcanum, OH/Franklin Monroe) added six kills for Wilmington.

Junior Emily Oberschlake (West College Corner, IN/Union County) recorded 11 digs for WC, while junior Ariana Neff (Naples, FL/Gulf Coast) finished with a team-high 21 assists and 10 digs.

Wilmington (2-16) returns to OAC play 7 p.m. Friday to play Marietta. Fans are encouraged to wear green to the game for Wilmington volleyball's Green Swarm event.
