Quakers fall to Denison, Manchester

DELAWARE - The Wilmington College volleyball team fell to 0-4 after dropping two straight set matches on the final day of the Bishops Invitational on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan University.

In the first match of the day, the Fightin' Quakers fell to Manchester, 25-12, 25-20, 25-17. Sophomore Ashley Miller (Arcanum/Franklin Monroe) led Wilmington with six kills and 11 assists. Senior Natalie Sparks (West Jefferson/West Jefferson) added five kills.

Senior Sara Fisher (London/Madison Plains) recorded a team-high 10 digs.

Miller picked up a double-double for the Quakers with 11 digs and 10 assists, while Fisher recorded a team-high eight kills.

Wilmington will have its home opener 7 p.m. Wednesday when Franklin comes to Raizk Arena.
