Josh Cyrus

Josh Cyrus enters his second season as an assistant cross country and track & field coach at Wilmington College for the 2023-24 academic year.

During 2022-23, he assisted Head Coach Ron Combs in one of the best men's years in program history. The men's cross country team won the 24-team JennaStrong Fall Classic, took third at the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championships and sixth at the 42-team NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Meet. The Quakers narrowly missed qualification for the NCAA Division III Championships, but sent three individuals to run in the final meet. There, Simon Heys took home his second All-American honor.

In track & field, Cyrus aided distance participant Simon Heys to multiple All-OAC honors as well as an All-American performance and new school record in the 10,000-meter run at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Cyrus was a four-year member of both the cross country and track & field programs as a distance runner. The 2022 WC alumnus was a three-time Academic All-OAC selection.
