Women's swimming falls to ONU

In the first of back-to-back swimming meets, the Wilmington College women's swimming team fell to Ohio Northern Friday, 146-59, at the Wilmington Natatorium.

Junior Addie Roberts (Franklin, OH/Franklin) posted one of Wilmington victories, claiming the 400 freestyle (5:03.38). She was second in the 800 freestyle (10:20.72) and Roberts swam the second leg as Wilmington was second in the 200 freestyle relay (2:02.72).

"She is a really tough kid," said head coach Trip Breen. "She trains well and is very smart. She is having great swims."

Sophomore Rachel Drake (Fairfield, OH/Fairfield) brought home Wilmington's other victory, winning the 100 breaststroke (1:22.48). Senior Victoria Burcham (Urbana, OH/Urbana) was second in the 100 backstroke (1:14.40).



Wilmington returns to the water Saturday at Franklin.
