Duo nets All-Ohio, Academic All-Ohio honors

Seniors Camille Gentile and Lauren Hamrock has proved to be equally successful on and off the field for the Wilmington College women's soccer team, and the Ohio Soccer Coaches Association recognized for their accomplishments by recently.

Gentile (Brownsburg, IN/Brownsburg) and Hamrock (Beavercreek, OH/Beavercreek) were named All-Ohio and Academic All-Ohio by the organization.

Gentile, a Biology major with a 3.5 GPA, earned first team Academic All-Ohio and second team All-Ohio, while Hamrock – a Biology major with a 3.74 GPA – earned third team honors on both lists.

Hamrock was third on the team with four goals. Gentile, a second team All-OAC selection, finished the season second on the team with five goals.

Two other players – senior Caroline Guindon (Barnesville, OH/St. Clairsville) and sophomore Taylor Scott (Lynchburg, OH/Lynchburg-Clay) – were earned Academic All-Ohio selections. Guindon, an Athletic Training major with a 3.76 GPA, and Taylor – a Psychology major with a 3.92 GPA – were both named third-team.

Wilmington finished the season 7-11-1 overall, 1-7-1 in the OAC.
