DELAWARE - Three players reached double figures, but the Wilmington College women's basketball team shot just 29.5 percent from the field in falling to Ohio Wesleyan Friday, 75-65, in non-conference action. Wilmington remained winless on the season when allowing more than 70 points in a game.

"We played hard, but didn't shoot well enough to win," said head coach Jerry Scheve. "We got good shots, but it was a very cold shooting night."

Wilmington (4-6 overall) suffered its third straight loss, and will be off until hosting the College of Mount St. Joseph 6 p.m. December 30. The Fightin' Quakers will honor the 2004 National Championship team at halftime.

Ohio Wesleyan took control with a 15-5 run late in the half to open up a 10-point advantage. The Fightin' Quakers were 2-of-8 with three turnovers during the game-changing six-minute stretch.

Seniors Makenzie Wippel (Orient, OH/Westfall) and Haley Howard (Uhrichsville, OH/New Philadelphia) each scored 16 points in the loss. Howard did most of her damage from the free throw line converted 11-of-14 from the charity stripe. She was just 2-of-14 from the field with five assists.

Freshman Hannah Haeseker (Germantown, OH/Valley View) continues to get make her presence known, scoring a career-high 15 points with eight rebounds. Junior Courtney Tucker (Cincinnati, OH/Sycamore) added a season-high 13 rebounds.

"Hannah is a pleasant surprise," said Scheve. "She is now playing well with a level of consistency. Courtney Tucker played her tail off tonight."
