The Wilmington College women's basketball team was held to a season-low 39 points in falling to Baldwin Wallace Saturday, 80-39, in Ohio Athletic Conference action at Hermann Court.

The previous low was 53 points, coming in a 53-40 win over Rose Hulman.

"It's just one loss," said head coach Jerry Scheve. "It wasn't our day. They had a lot to do with it. We have to come back Monday ready to prepare for a good Capital team."

Freshman Brittaney Jefferson (Dayton, OH/Chaminade Julienne) was the only player to reach double figures, scoring 10 points on 4-of-12 shooting. Senior Makenzie Wippel (Orient, OH/Westfall) added eight points and a team-high five rebounds.

Baldwin Wallace used a 31-3 run over an 11-minute stretch in the first half as the Yellow Jackets shot 63.6 percent (21-of-33) from the field. They were also proficient from beyond the arc in the first half, making 58.3 percent (7-of-12). BW tallied 50 first half points in recording the victory.

Wilmington (4-4 overall, 2-1 OAC) travels to Capital 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
