AUSTINTOWN – Senior pitcher Danielle Monnier has been named Ohio Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league announced.

Monnier (Houston, OH/Houston) capped a fantastic career by winning both ends of the OAC doubleheader with Mount Union. With the pair of victories, she established a new single-season record for wins with 13. In 14 innings against the Purple Raiders, Monnier allowed just one unearned run on 10 hits and 12 strikeouts.

"It was a phenomenal pitching performance, and it was amazing to watch," said Wilmington head coach Beth Floyd.

Earlier in the week, she established a new single-season mark for strikeouts as she allowed just one earned run in six innings against Spalding.

Monnier leaves Wilmington as the career leader in wins and strikeouts, while holding the top three single-season marks in strikeouts and the top two seasonal performances in wins. She also has the single-season record with the 1.45 ERA she posted last week.
