WHEATON, IL – The Wilmington College men's cross country team finished 11th of 15 teams at the Wheaton Gil Dodds Invitational Saturday.
Sophomore Tommy Looby (Canton, OH/Glen Oak) led a quartet of Wilmington runners that finished with 33 seconds of each other. Looby ran the 8K course in 28:11 to be the first WC harrier across the finish line.
Senior Jake Simpkins (Germantown, OH/Valley View) was next in 28:35, followed by freshman Hunter Stith (Batavia, OH/Batavia) with the time of 28:40 and junior Dominic King (Bettsville, OH/Bettsville) in 28:44.
Senior Scott Blubaugh (Kingston, OH/Logan Elm) rounded out Wilmington's scoring, finishing with the time of 29:44.
Wilmington returns to the course Saturday, September 27 at the NCAA Division III Pre-National Meet at The Golf Center at Kings Island in Mason, OH.
