The Wilmington College men's tennis team sent their three seniors out in grand fashion as the Quakers won their first Ohio Athletic Conference match of the season, beating Muskingum, 9-0.
Jesse Ingels (Morrow, OH/Little Miami), Connor LaVelle (Athens, OH/Athens) and Josh Kincaid (Loveland, OH/Goshen) all picked up victories in singles and doubles. The trio was honored prior to the match.
LaVelle, in second singles, has been the most productive player on the season, going 4-7 thus far. He was victorious Friday in singles, 6-1, 6-1, and then teamed with Cullen Corcoran (Wilmington, OH/Clinton-Massie) in second doubles to record the 8-2 win.
In first doubles, Kincaid teamed with Justin Arehart (Wilmington, OH/Wilmington) to record the shutout victory, 8-0. Arehart won his first singles match, 6-1, 6-1, and Kincaid was victorious in third singles, 6-3, 6-3.
After teaming with Ronald Sansone (Norwood, OH/Norwood) to post the 8-2 win in third doubles, Ingels won his fifth singles match, 6-2, 6-1. Sansone picked up his first singles win of the season, coming out victorious, 6-3, 6-2 in sixth singles.
Wilmington (2-10) will wrap up the 2013 campaign 1 p.m. Saturday as its hosts Mount Union at the Wilmington College tennis courts.
