Men's Swimming claims all 11 events

The Wilmington College men's swimming team won all 11 events in beating Hiram Saturday, 127-71, at the Wilmington Natatorium.

"I was pleased with results today," said Wilmington head coach Trip Breen. "For both teams to win today, it was exciting. We still have a lot of room for improvement. The end of the semester and the training is starting to weigh on them, and we are still racing well. I am looking for to Ohio Wesleyan next week."

Senior Mason Harris and freshman Anton Blomquist both won three events for Wilmington, while junior David Hawk won two races

Harris was victorious in the 800 meter freestyle (9:12.06) and the 100 meter butterfly (1:01.67), while Blomquist the 50 meter freestyle (25.35) and the 100 meter freestyle (57.55). The pair teamed with sophomore Erik Spraul (Cincinnati, OH/Princeton) and sophomore Jason Prible (Bluffton, IN/Bluffton) to win the 400 meter freestyle relay in 3:47.59.

Hawk won the 200 meter freestyle (2:01.77) and then teamed with Cody Nash (Fresno, CA/Kingbury), David Spraul (Cincinnati, OH/Princeton), and Wyatt Henderson (Baltimore, OH/Liberty Union) to win the 200 meter medley relay (1:56.43).

Freshman David Bellus (Upper Marlboro, MD / Northmont) nearly broke the school's 400 meter individual medley record, finishing in 5:17.49.

The Fightin' Quakers travels to Delaware, OH for the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational Saturday and Sunday.
