VOTE HEARD: Senior candidate for all-star game

VOTE MALCOLM HEARD!!

Wilmington College senior Malcolm Heard, the Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Year, is one of eight candidates in an online vote for a spot in the 2014 Reese;s Division III All-Star Game.

Voting will take place on the front page of D3hoops.com, starting at noon ET today and running through noon ET on Wednesday, March 12. Fans will be able to choose from a list with the top senior student-athlete in each of the eight Division III regions whose team is no longer participating in the NCAA Tournament. The two with the most votes will join 16 other seniors, two from each region, who were selected by a committee vote, for a total of nine student-athletes per side.

The game will be played on March 22 prior to the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship game at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Va., beginning at 3 p.m.

Heard led the OAC in scoring (18.6 points) and rebounds (7.8) en route to earning first team All-OAC for the third straight season. He was the main cog in Wilmington's Ohio Athletic Conference title.
