The eyes of the Wilmington College men's basketball coaching staff will be fixed and hearts palpitating a little bit harder today as the Ohio State Buckeyes meets with Wichita State for a chance to advance to the 2013 Division I Final Four.

Wilmington head coach K.C. Hunt played for Wichita State, while his assistant, Matt Sylvester, played for the Buckeyes. Hunt played for the Shockers from 1990-94, finished his career ranked in the top 10 in steals and assists.

"It's a special story for Wichita," said Hunt. "It's going to be a unique experience for me. This is the first time I won't be rooting for Ohio State."

Sylvester was a member of the Buckeyes from 2001-2006, and was a part of two NCAA tournament teams.

When the brackets were announced a couple of weeks ago, the two didn't even mention the thought of the two teams meeting on the hardwood. They have only exchanged a couple of text messages since the matchup was solidified late Thursday night.

"I can imagine that there will be some trash talking once the game gets started," said Hunt.

Sylvester adds playfully, "I will definitely be calling him. Thankfully we are 100 miles apart or we would be at each other's throats."

However, don't expect any type of friendly wager to commence prior to the 7:15 tip.

"I think I am just going to challenge him to find us some more players," said Hunt.
