James Rice began his tenure as an assistant baseball coach at Wilmington College in December of 2023, and his first season with the program will be the 2024 campaign.
Rice comes to Wilmington after a five-year baseball career at Mount Aloysius College in Cresson, Pennsylvania. While he was at Mount Aloysius, Rice appeared in 59 career games for the Mounties, making 22 starts. He earned his bachelor's degree from Mount Aloysius in sports management and his master's degree in general business.
A native of Leechburg, Pennsylvania, Rice went to Greensburg Central Catholic High School. He was a three-sport athlete in high school, playing four years of baseball, basketball, and football.
