@WCWLax leads Academic OAC contingent

AUSTINTOWN – The Wilmington College women’s lacrosse team led the way with four selections as the Ohio Athletic Conference named its 2015 Spring Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference, the league announced today (May 18, 2015).

The award winners must be at least sophomore status or higher, maintain varsity status and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50.

Juniors Rachel Routzong (Urbana, OH/Urbana; 3.69, Agriculture/Economics), Ashley Fox (West Chester, OH/Lakota West; 3.73, Education/English), Abby Jude (Lancaster, OH/Fairfield Union; 3.65, Biology) and Emily Phipps (Heath, OH/Heath; 3.55, Education) were the women’s lacrosse selections.

Men’s lacrosse was represented by sophomores Reid Delaney (Wooster, OH/Wooster; 3.97, Business Administration) and Andrew Esselstein (Dayton, OH/Archbishop Alter; 3.69, Biology).

Senior Jess Clutter (Englewood, OH/Northmont; 3.91, Criminal Justice/Psychology) and sophomore Olivia Bauer (Williard, OH/Williard; 3.61, Agriculture) represent softball.

Women’s track and field had two representatives in seniors Sarah Murphy (West Liberty, OH/West Liberty Salem; 3.93, Biology/Health Science) and Tricia Steffen (Baltimore, OH/Liberty Union; 3.91, Sport Administration/Education).

Senior Clay Cleaver (Pleasant Plain, OH/Little Miami; 3.69, Education/English) is the lone baseball selection. Sophomore Dominic King (Bettsville, OH/Bettsville; 3.54, Sport Management) is the only men’s track and field selection.
