WILMINGTON, Ohio - Wilmington College softball sophomore Lindsey Carter is this week's Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Player of the Week.

Also the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Hitter of the Week, Carter hit a .500 average with 13 hits, seven doubles and a team-best 12 RBIs in the Fightin' Quakers' eight games down in Fort Myers, Florida. The sophomore from Clarksville, Ohio, didn't strike out a single time and had a perfect fielding percentage, both in the outfield and on the mound. In Wilmington's best win, a 6-3 triumph over perennial national power Central College (Iowa), Carter with 2-for-3 with two doubles to left center that scored three runs. She also made two diving catches in the outfield.

Wilmington opens OAC play at Baldwin Wallace University on Saturday.
