Yontz Named OAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - Wilmington College women's cross country freshman Sydney Yontz has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the league annouced on Monday.

Yontz was the Fightin' Quakers' top finisher at the seventh annual JennaStrong Fall Classic on Friday. The Springfield, Ohio, native finished the five-kilometer course in 19:25.9 and in 27th place in a field of 316 runners. Among NCAA Division III runners, Yontz placed sixth individually.

As a team, Wilmington placed 13th out of 33 teams who scored.

The Quakers have another home meet, a dual against Muskingum University, on Friday.
