The Wilmington College volleyball team fell in straight sets in a closely contested match, 25-18, 25-22, 25-9, Saturday in Ohio Athletic Conference action in Fred Raizk Arena at Hermann Court.
It marked the final home game for senior Kara Short (Conover, OH/Fairlawn).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wilmington held a lead in all three sets, while recording positive hitting percentages.
- Freshman Morgan Householder (Somerset, OH/Sheridan) led the team with nine kills on 29 attempts, and added seven digs.
- Junior Becca Harting (Farmersville, OH/Valley View) finished with a team-high 13 digs, while freshman Amber Rox (Lawrenceburg, IN/Lawrenceburg) added 12 digs and six kills.
- Freshman Alyssa McKenzie (Adrian, MI/Adrian) recorded a team-high 12 assists and Short added 10 for the Fightin' Quakers.

Wilmington (3-22 overall, 0-7 OAC) travels to Muskingum 7 p.m. Saturday for another OAC match.
