John Carroll Defeats Women's Swimming in Final Dual of Season

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's swimming team fell 158-47 at John Carroll University in the final dual meet of the season on Saturday. 

Makenna Garn turned in the Quakers' lone victory at the meet, winning the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:13.15. Teammate Alayna Fierman came in third in the event by touching the wall in 1:20.66.

Audrey Bibb had two third-place swims in freestyle events, turning in times of 1:00.85 and 2:16.10 in the 100-yard freestyle and 200-yard freestyle respectively. Adrienne Reynek rounded out the top-three finishes with a third-place time of 13:35.11 in the 1,000-yard freestyle.

"The team as a whole was up and down today," Head Coach Trip Breen said. "Everyone has put in some quality training this year."

The Quakers will now taper for the OAC Champinoships, which will take place from Feb. 15-18 at the University of Akron's Ocasek Natatorium.
