WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's swimming team fell to the University of Mount Union 128-74 in the final home meet of the season on Saturday afternoon. The program also honored four seniors - Anna Endsley, Katrina Kanzari, Peyton Mullins and Sierra Szuhay - for swimming in the final home meet of their careers.

"Today, we had an opportunity to celebrate our senior class," Head Coach Trip Breen said. "I am thankful for the memories that we share, their hard work, their commitment to Wilmington College and our swimming program. I am grateful for the time that we have spent together. They will be missed."

The 100-meter breaststroke proved to be the Quakers' best event on the day as Makenna Garn (1:21.53), Alayna Fierman (1:26.96) and Abbi Whitesell (1:32.56) went 1-2-3 respectively. Garn also took third in the 50-meter freestyle by touching the wall in 29.82 seconds while Fierman was third in the 100-meter butterfly (1:20.74).

Audrey Bibb tallied two runner-up finishes in the 100-meter freestyle (1:06.10) and 200-meter freestyle (2:26.85) events while Szuhay placed third in both the 100-meter backstroke (1:14.89) and the 200-meter IM (2:48.01). Adrienne Reynek rounded out the top-three individual performances with a time of 11:35.76 in the 800-meter freestyle.

In the 200-meter medley relay, Szuhay, Fierman, Garn and Sydney Overmyer swum a time of 2:15.11 to finish runner-up.

"We had some great swims coming off of a long period of heavy training," said Breen. "We had swims that went above and beyond my expectations. I am really happy about how far this team has progressed."

Wilmington finishes its regular season at John Carroll University next Saturday.
