Women's Swimming Heads to JCU Saturday in Final Tuneup Before OAC Champsionships

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's swimming team heads to John Carroll University for an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) dual meet at 1 p.m. on Saturday. It's the Fightin' Quakers' final tune up before hosting the OAC Championships on Feb. 14-16.

The Coach: Trip Breen is in his 20th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's swimming teams. Breen has been named Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Men's Coach of the Year four times, the most recently in the 2016-17 season.

Who to Watch: Macki Leon won all three individual events she competed in against the University of Mount Union last weekend, claiming titles in the 200-meter freestyle (2:19.92), the 200-meter backstroke (2:39.54) and the 200-yard IM (2:42.38). She also teamed up with Margaret Hover, Hannah Davis and Herr to win the 200-meter freestyle relay with a time of 2:01.53. Kadie Grundy also won the 100-meter backstroke with time of 1:17.24.
