Wrestling Heads to Heidelberg for an OAC Dual Wednesday

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College wrestling team heads to Heidelberg University for an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) dual match at 7 p.m. on Wednesday evneing.

The Teams: Wilmington and Heidelberg. The Fightin' Quakers enter the dual fresh off a 12th-place finish at the Adrian Bulldogs Classic hosted by Adrian College on Nov. 2. The Student Princes, who placed third in the Adrian Bulldogs Classic, were in action last weekend and posted a sixth-place finish out of 49 teams at Washington & Jefferson College.

The Coaches: Justin Kihn enters his second season as Wilmington's head wrestling coach in 2019-20. A 2016 graduate of Heidelberg, Kihn finished fourth nationally in the 141-pound weight class and earned All-American honors as a senior. Tony Patrizi is in his sixth season as Heidelberg's head wrestling coach.

The Players: Wilmington will be sending nine individuals to wrestle in nine different weight classes - Zack Gutknecht (125-pound), Gabe Obregon (141-pound), Chris Beltre (149-pound), Clayton Schirmer (157-pound), Brennen Greene (165-pound), Patrick Kelley and Jaymon Flaugher (174-pound & 184-pound), Bruno Pattison (197-pound) and Seth Jermer (285-pound).

Return to Alma Mater: As mentioned above, Justin Kihn was an All-American wrestler for the Student Princes.
