Wrestling To Compete at Central Region Championships This Weekend

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College wrestling team heads to the NCAA Division III Central Regional Championships hosted by Wabash College this weekend.

The Tournament: The first day of competition is slated to begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 22 with day two beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23.

The Teams: Wilmington will be joined by host Wabash College along with the other members of the central region – Adrian College, Alma College, Baldwin Wallace University, Case Western Reserve University, Defiance College, Heidelberg University, John Carroll University, Manchester University, Mount St. Joseph University, the University of Mount Union, Muskingum University, Ohio Northern University, Ohio Wesleyan University, Olivet College, Otterbein University, Thomas More College and Trine University.

The Coach: Justin Kihn enters his first season as Wilmington's head wrestling coach. A 2016 graduate of Heidelberg, Kihn finished fourth nationally in the 141-pound weight class and earned All-American honors as a senior.

The Players: Two Quakers will compete in the invitational. Brady Wilson will wrestle in the 157-pound weight class while Seth Jermer in the 285-pound weight class.
