ANGOLA, Indiana - The Wilmington College wrestling team competed at the Trine University Open on Saturday, marking the Fightin' Quakers' second competition since the program came off a seven-year hiatus.
Issa Khalil recorded his first collegiate victory on the afternoon, defeating Adal Sanabria of North Central College (Illinois) 5-4 by decision.
"We had another good showing today as it was easy to see everyone is progressing," Head Coach Justin Kihn said. "Congrats to Issa [Khalil] on is first victory."
Wilmington returns to action on Tuesday by hosting Heidelberg University for an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) dual meet.
