Jermer and Wilson Record Wins for Wrestling at Adrian Open

RESULTS

ADRIAN, Michigan - The Wilmington College wrestling team opened its 2018 season by competed at the Adrian Open hosted by Adrian College on Saturday.

The competition was the Fightin' Quakers' first since the 2012 season after the program was put on hiatus. As a team, Wilmington finished 12th scoring 3.5 points.

"We had a good first day fill of experiences to learn from and build on," first-year Head Coach Justin Kihn said. "I asked the guys to give full effort each match and enjoy the opportunity they had in from of them, which we did today."

Seth Jermer picked up his first victory over Michael Frias of Toledo University by fall in just over a minute in the second round of consolation. Brady Wilson also won in the second round of consolation, defeating Jaret Lowry of Ohio Wesleyan University by decision.

Wilmington travels to the Trine Invitational next weekend.
