ALL-OHIO MEET PERFORMANCE LIST
WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's track & field team will compete in two different events this weekend including the Centre Twilight Meet hosted by Centre College on Friday and the All-Ohio Meet at Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday.
The Schedule: Wilmington will send its entire squad to the Centre Twilight Meet on Friday while the 4-x-400-meter relay squad of Adam Knaub, Elliot Phillimore, Luke Richardson and Colin Myers will also compete at the All-Ohio Meet on Saturday.
The Coach: Ron Combs enters his 19th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.
Who to Watch – Track Events: Adam Knaub has Wilmington's top times in both the 100-meter dash (11.07 seconds) and 200-meter dash (22.62 seconds) having established both at the Pioneer Invitational last month. Aaron Koch improved on his 400-meter hurdles time at the Tiffleberg Meet at Heidelberg University has he finished the event in 58.22 seconds. Evan Whitaker won the 5,000-meter run in Lexington with a time of 15:33.10 that came seconds from breaking the stadium record and also posted the Quakers' best time in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, 9:57.00, last weekend.
Who to Watch – Field Events: Joe Shuga has the Fightin' Quakers' top marks in the shot put (44' 1 1/4"), discus (135' 3") and hammer throw (148' 8") including the last of those set at Heidelberg last weekend while Luke Richardson and Colin Myers are slated to jump this weekend.
