WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's track & field team heads to Cedarville Open hosted by Cedarville University on Saturday. Action gets underway at 10:30 a.m.

The Teams: Wilmington will be joined by several other NCAA Division III schools: Anderson University, Defiance College, Wittenberg University and St. Scholastica University. Host Cedarville along with the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Christian University, Miami University, Rio Grande University, Siena Heights University, Ursuline University, Walsh University, Wayne State University and Wright State University.

The Coach: Ron Combs enters his 19th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.

Who to Watch – Track Events: In the outdoor opener last weekend, Evan Whitaker nearly broke the Transylvania University stadium record with a 15:33.10 mark to win the 5,000-meter run. Adam Knaub finished in the top four of two sprints, taking third in the 100-meter dash (11.07 seconds) and fourth in the 200-meter dash (22.62 seconds). Aaron Koch earned a runner-up finish in 400-meter hurdles (59.24 seconds) while also placing sixth in the 110-meter hurdles.

Who to Watch – Field Events: Luke Richardson's mark of 21' 5 ¼" earned him a second-place finish in the long jump while Joe Shuga, Andrew Pacifico and Colin Meyers competed in the shot put, hammer throw and high jump respectively.
