Men's Swimming Hosts Mount Union in OAC Dual Friday Evening

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's swimming team takes to the Wilmington Natatorium for the final time this season on Friday as the Fightin' Quakers host the University of Mount Union in an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) dual meet at 7 p.m.

The Coach: Trip Breen is in his 20th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's swimming teams. Breen has been named Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Men's Coach of the Year four times, the most recently in the 2016-17 season.

Who to Watch: The last time Wilmington swam in its natatorium (Nov. 10, 2018), Frederick Rankin won four events including the 50-meter breaststroke (32.00), 100-meter breaststroke (1:10.78), 50-meter butterfly (29.24) and teamed up with Lawrence Daya, Isak Alin and Logan Schroer to win the 200-meter medley relay (1:56.81). Rankin would go on to garner OAC Men's Swimmer of the Week honors. Ian Darras, Daya Alin and Schroer all won two individual events in that dual meet win over Hiram College.

Senior Night: This meet marks the last home meet in the careers of Lawrence Daya and Frederick Rankin. A brief ceremony will be held prior to the meet beginning.
