Men's Lacrosse Looks to Stop OAC Skid at Mount Union Friday

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team continues its search for an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) win on Friday when the Fightin' Quakers travel to the University of Mount Union for a 1 p.m. contest.

The Teams: Wilmington and Mount Union. The Quakers are 2-10 overall and winless in the OAC after a 29-3 defeat at the hands of John Carroll University at Williams Stadium on Saturday. The Purple Raiders are 5-7 overall and an even 3-3 in conference competition after defeating Heidelberg University 13-9 on the road on Saturday.

The Coaches: Jeff Arneson is in his second year leading the Wilmington men's lacrosse program. Prior to leading the Quakers to a 5-9 record last season, Arneson, a Wilmington High School alumnus, spent six seasons as head coach at Thiel College (Pennsylvania). Brian Stewart, the only head coach in Mount Union men's lacrosse history, is in his sixth season leading the Purple Raiders.

The Players: Connor Judge and Andrew Miller have been Wilmington's top offensive duo as both have tallied at least 30 points this season. Judge leads the way with 26 goals while Miller has dished out 13 assists. Mike Smith leads the squad in both ground balls (55) and face-offs won (68). The Mount Union duo of Logan Addonizio and Alex Kungle both have combined for 62 points for the Purple Raiders. Kungle has netted 26 goals while Addonizio has dished out 14 assists.
