John Carroll Beats Men's Lacrosse 29-3

WILMINGTON, Ohio – John Carroll University (JCU) scored 20 of the game's first 21 goals in a 29-3 victory over the Wilmington College men's lacrosse team in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) action from Williams Stadium on Saturday.

JCU scored the first nine goals of the game before Andrew Miller found Connor Judge in front of goal with a minute to play in the first quarter. Colin Corcoran ended the period with a Blue Streak goal with 16 seconds left.

Similar to the first quarter, the visitors scored the first nine goals of the period. Miller would find the back of the net at the 4:14 mark of the second unassisted, but three more JCU goals gave the Blue Streaks a 23-2 lead at halftime.

John Carroll, which outshot Wilmington 38-8 in the first half, scored the only six goals of the second half. Miller would dish out an assist for an Austin Young goal that marked the only scoring play in the fourth quarter.

JCU held a 51-22 advantage in shots including winning 33-of-35 face-offs in the game.

Individually, Miller was involved in all three goals for Wilmington including scoring one and dishing out two assists. Skylar Blake scored seven goals and dished out three assists for JCU while Kevin Hack netted four goals with two assists. Clayton Karam grabbed a team-best 21 ground balls with the majority of them coming off face-offs.

Wilmington (2-10, 0-6 OAC) continues conference play at the University of Mount Union on Friday, April 19.
