Men's Lacrosse Hits the Road to Otterbein Wednesday

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team continues Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play on Wednesday as the Fightin'Quakers face Otterbein University on the road. First faceoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Otterbein. The Quakers are 2-6 on the season and looking for their first OAC victory after suffering a 16-6 defeat at the hands of Heidelberg University on Saturday. The Cardinals, on the other hand, are 7-3 overall and 2-0 in OAC competition after a 14-9 win over John Carroll University on Saturday.

The Coaches: Jeff Arneson is in his second year leading the Wilmington men's lacrosse program. Prior to leading the Quakers to a 5-9 record last season, Arneson, a Wilmington High School alumnus, spent six seasons as head coach at Thiel College (Pennsylvania).  Colin Hartnett, a 20023 graduate of the College of Wooster, enters his 10th season as Otterbein's head men's lacrosse coach.

The Players: Conner Judge and Andrew Miller have been Wilmington's top two offensive threats this season as both have over 20 points. Judge has scored 23 goals and dished out four assists while Miller has an even 11 goals and 11 assists. Mike Smith leads the Quakers in face-offs won (59) and ground balls (47). Joe Sanfillipo has tallied 41 points for Otterbein including 23 goals and 18 assists. Jake Grundey and Xander Seal also have over 25 points each.
