Men's Lacrosse Hosts Heidelberg on Saturday

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team, fresh off a 16-11 victory at Anderson University, returns to Williams Stadium for the first time in a month to host Heidelberg University in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) action at 1 p.m. on Saturday.    

The Teams: Wilmington (2-5 overall) and Heidelberg (4-5 overall). The Fightin' Quakers are 0-1 in the OAC losing their first bout with Ohio Northern University last Saturday. The Student Princes are 1-0 in the OAC after defeating Marietta College last week. 

The Coaches: Jeff Arneson is in his second year leading the Wilmington men's lacrosse program. Prior to leading the Quakers to a 5-9 record last season, Arneson, a Wilmington High School alumnus, spent six seasons as head coach at Thiel College (Pennsylvania).  Bill Schmoldt is in his fourth year with the program after being tabbed the head coach in 2015 where he started the program. In Schmoldt's first two seasons, Heidelberg went from 3-13 in year one to 7-9 in year two.   

The Players:
 Conner Judge leads the Fighting Quakers' with 21 goals so far as Andrew Miller continues to come on as a playmaker. Both are coming off a four goal performance against Anderson. Heidelberg is led by three goal scorers, Alex Bruder, Brock Hodson and Liam Weaver. Combined, the trio has 72 goals and 34 assists.
