Cody Carson Joins Men's Lacrosse Program as Assistant Coach

WILMINGTON, Ohio - Wilmington College Head Men's Lacrosse Coach Jeff Arneson announced the hiring of Cody Carson as the program's assistant coach on Wednesday.

"I'm excited announce that Coach Cody Carson has joined our coaching staff as our offensive coordinator," said Arneson. LI know both his playing and coaching experience will help promote and grow the lacrosse program at Wilmington and allow us to create a great experience for our student-athletes."

Cody Carson enters his first season as an assistant men's lacrosse coach at Wilmington College for the 2018-19 season.

Carson comes to Wilmington from Akron where he served as Head Lacrosse Coach at Copley High School for the 2018 season. He fostered a winning culture  that emphasized hard work, personal accountability and a team-first attitude as well as overseeing the development of youth programs.

Before that, Carson spent four years as an undergraduate student at Kent State University. A four-year member of the Golden Flashes club lacrosse program, Carson started for three years and served as the program's vice president for those three years. Kent State finished 13-2 his senior season, won the Midwest Conference title and advance dto the NCLL quarterfinals.

Carson graduated from Kent State in 2017 with a degree in sport administration. Following graduation, Carson led the Golden Flashes to a 9-5 record.
