Heather Miller enters her first year as an assistant cheerleading coach at Wilmington College for the 2019-20 academic year.

Miller, who also serves the College as senior transfer admission director in the office of admission, is a 2010 graduate of the College. Miller cheered for the Fightin' Quakers from 2007-10. In 2009, she took her first head coaching position at East Clinton High School (2009-2015) and took the cheerleading program to three state competitions and two national competitions. Her coaching career then shifted to collegiate athletics for the 2015-2016 season when she became an assistant coach at Miami University (Ohio) under head coach and former Ohio State University cheerleader Matt Casto. In 2017, Miller took an assistant competition coaching position with Waynesville High School (WHS) under her longtime mentor Tammy Burchfield. At WHS, Miller obtained her first national championship and two state champions as a coach.

Her husband, Ryker, is also a Wilmington graduate and a baseball alumnus. The two reside in Franklin with their daughter, Henlee.
