Daniel McCarty enters his sthird season on the Wilmington College baseball staff in 2023, but his second as the catching coach and recruiting coordinator. 

In 2022, McCarty, alongside Head Coach Tony Vittorio, guided the Quakers to a 21-19 overall record including an 8-10 mark in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) contests. The 2022 campaign marked the first winning season for the program since 2005.

He was also featured by FOX19 in Cincinnati's Joe Danneman on pursuing his dream of coaching collegiate baseball while living with brittle bone disease.

McCarty comes to Wilmington from Henderson, Nevada where he had extensive experience with developing youth baseball players in the baseball-rich area of Las Vegas.  He is also known for his outstanding motivational and inspirational skills. 

He resides in Wilmington, Ohio.
