In its 21-year history celebrating local women in sports, the event highlighted women’s sports achievements with more than 470 attendees primarily from high schools and colleges in the region supporting the event. The 2014 banquet was held at Xavier University Schiff Conference Center in the Cintas Center.

Women’s sports have come along way in the last 20 years. Jane Meier, Co-Director of GCNKWSA said, “honoring women in our sports community allows us to empower the next generation of leaders and elite athletes. The spirit and drive these women have serve as a positive impact in our community. And without the support of our business community, we would not have the valuable resources to offer the awards and scholarship opportunities to women in sports."

Local12 News Anchor Cammy Dierking, and Game Day Communications President and Sportscaster Betsy Ross served as the evening’s emcees. Joining them was Paralympian April Kerley who shared an inspirational talk on envisioning possibilities to achieve greatness.

Over the years, hundreds of female athletes from the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area have been recognized at the annual banquet, including those who have gone on to become Olympians, world record holders, gold medalists, and leaders in their communities.
