DIVISION III ALL-ACADEMIC TEAMS

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana – The Wilmington College women's cross country team has earned All-Academic Team honors, given out by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Thursday.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers. The Fightin' Quaker women accumulated a 3.30 team GPA.

"One of the goals our teams discuss at the start of every season is making the All-Academic team," Head Women's Cross Country Coach Ron Combs said.  "I'm proud of the growth our team made this season and the work they did academically. It's been a few years since both the men and the women made it in the same season."

Wilmington finished its 2019 season with a sixth-place finish at the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championships.
