WILMINGTON, Ohio – Throughout the months of July and August, the Wilmington College Office of Athletic Communications, through the lens of Director Mitch Blankespoor, is going to revisit some of its favorite memories of each sport throughout the 2019-20 academic year. Today’s entry will be memories for the men’s & women’s cross country season.
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - Twenty-five Wilmington College student-athletes from the fall sports season earned Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) honors, the conference announced on Tuesday.
The Wilmington College women's cross country team had two individual finishers in the top 35 as the Fightin' Quakers placed 13th in a field of 33 teams at the seventh annual JennaStrong Fall Classic on Friday afternoon.
The Fightin’ Quakers finished the event with 118 total points, one point behind third place team Denison University. Kenyon College won the meet with 27 points while Ohio Northern University finished with 33 points.
Rupert, who added vice president for athletic administration to his title in 2007, will also remain in that role this semester as he transitions into becoming a full-time faculty member with the sport management program, which he started in 1998.
