Women's Cross Country places 10th in OACs

DELAWARE – The Wilmington College women's cross country team finished 10th in the 10-team Ohio Athletic Conference meet Saturday held on the Delaware campus of Columbus State University.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Senior Stephanie Fetters (West Milton, OH/Milton-Union) was the first Wilmington runner to finish the 6K course, placing 60th with the time of 27:29.1. She was immediately followed by freshman Kacey Burns (Milford Center, OH/Fairbank) with the time of 27:30.2.
  • Freshman Allison Helmke (Defiance, OH/Tinora) was the third runner to cross the finish line, finishing 63rd (28:17), while freshman Emma Burke (Hilliard, OH/Darby) finished 65th (30:13.5).
  • The final Wilmington runner to score was freshman Keva Cox (Germantown, OH/Valley View), who placed 66th (30:19.2).
