Aly Wiseman enters her first season as Wilmington College's head volleyball coach in 2023.
In her first season with the program, Wiseman, as the program's top assistant, aided then-Head Coach Sophie Windover in guiding the Quakers to a 9-19 overall record including a 2-7 mark in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) games to conclude one of the program's best seasons in the last decade. Conference wins included a sweep of Capital University on Senior Night as well as a 3-1 win at Heidelberg University in the season finale. The triumph marked WC's first victory over Heidelberg in program history. Libero Blake O'Brien became the first Quaker to garner All-OAC recognition as the league's leader in digs and digs per set was named Second Team All-OAC. She finished top 20 in the country in both categories.
Wiseman came to Wilmington from Millikin University where she served as a graduate assistant for longtime Head Coach Debbie Kiick for the 2021 season. She headed the junior varsity program and aided the Big Blue varsity side to a 21-11 record and a semifinal appearance in the Collegiate Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Tournament. Wiseman also developed a marketing plan for the program and mentored nine student-athletes to Academic All-CCIW honors.
Prior to Millikin, Wiseman enjoyed a four-year playing career at Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) member Marietta College from 2017-20. She appeared in 57 career matches with nine starters as a Pioneer, tallying a team-best 4.38 assists per set as part of a 6-2 offensive scheme as a freshman.
Wiseman graduated from Marietta in 2021 with a degree in sport management.
